Bulbine glauca [Asphodelaceae] ; Rock Lily Larger, taller flower spikes than the more commonly used Bulbine bulbosa. Thicker, more succulent and glaucous leaves than Bulbine bulbosa.
A crevice dweller (or ‘chasmophyte’) on slopes and cliffs at higher altitudes, it is frost tolerant and prefers full son and good drainage.
Long flowering time.
We’re using this in a few projects outside of its native cool-climate range, and will report back on outcomes in due course.
