Davallia solida var. pyxidata [Davalliaceae]; Rabbit’s Foot Fern

Try to only grow the NSW native variety. I believe a lot of solida that is sold is in fact the Fijian variety ‘Davallia solida var. feejeensis’.

Seems to do well in a garden, given the right conditions:

  • Semi-rupestral/epiphyitic substrate (e.g. a few rocks underground, or wedged between a couple of rocks or logs)

  • Watered to etablishment.

  • Semi shade or shade
